Stained Glass Shawl

This gorgeously lacy shawl, with its ridges and waves, reminds me so much of the colour blocks you see in old stained glass windows. The delicate gaps enhance that textured effect and the raised rows resemble the lead cames (dividing lines).

It’s an easy intermediate pattern because although it takes some concentration to get your stitch count right to start with, it soon becomes a very meditative make with a simple a 2-row repeat for the most part.

This is a rectangular shawl made of 3 colour block sections so you’ll be working in rows, turning at the end. Throughout this pattern, the starting chain counts as your 1st stitch.
