Cheerful slipped-stitch pumpkins add a touch of whimsy to the legs of these socks. Wavy cables in the ribbed portion keep the knitting interesting and gently suggest vines.
The pattern assumes familiarity with cabling and basic cuff-down sock construction techniques. It will go a lot faster if you know how to work cables without a cable needle - I have not included a tutorial for this in the pattern since there are a number of good ones already available. The cable pattern is currently provided only in charted form.
Three sizes are included: Small (60 stitches) Medium (65 stitches) Large (70 stitches)
You will change your gauge and stitch count in the pumpkin section to make up for the reduced elasticity, so choose a size that fits for the ribbing.
