Product Description
Put a little spring in your step with Primavera Lace Socks. This is a quick, easy knit that will go with all your spring outfits. They are lacy enough to be cool on those warm spring days yet warm enough for that occasional spring chill.
These socks work up beautifully, using either text or chart instructions for the lace rib pattern. The pattern is easily memorized for faster knitting. Instructions are given for both double-pointed needles and the Magic Loop method. They are a classic cuff-down style with a heel flap and gusset.
Several testers knit this sock with different fingering weight yarns, and had success with all of them, so I’m confident saying that it works with most yarns that allow you to match gauge. But even then, the pattern is very forgiving in terms of gauge because it’s a stretchy stitch pattern.

Knitters can choose between two primary methods: working on a set of four 2.5 mm double-pointed needles or using the Magic Loop method with a single 32" [80 cm] or longer circular knitting needle. The pattern incorporates lace motifs throughout the sock design, creating an open, airy fabric that balances breathability with structural integrity.

Sample Yarns: The designer provided two sample options. Sample A used Cascade Heritage (75% merino superwash/ 25% nylon, 3.5 oz [100 g], 437 yd [399 m]) in colorway #5629 Citron, requiring 1 skein. Sample B used KnitPicks Stroll Solids (75% fine superwash merino wool/ 25% nylon, 1.75 oz [50g], 231 yd [211 m]) in colorway #28181 Patina, requiring 2 balls.
Needles and Notions: Knitters will need either a set of four 2.5 mm double-pointed needles or one 2.5 mm circular knitting needle measuring 32" [80 cm] or longer for Magic Loop construction. Additionally, 3 stitch markers are required, with one being a unique color to distinguish it from the others.
Gauge
Two gauge options are provided depending on yarn choice. The primary gauge is 19 stitches and 26 rounds equals 2" [5 cm] in stockinette stitch. An alternative gauge of 20 stitches and 24 rounds equals 2" [5 cm] is also specified, allowing for slight variations based on individual tension and yarn selection.
