What is Being Made

Pip the Puppy is a small knitted toy designed by Phoenixknits, measuring 6 inches high when completed. This finished amigurumi-style stuffed animal is completely child-friendly, featuring embroidered or sewn details rather than plastic eyes or buttons, making it a safe toy for young children when all components are securely attached.

Craft and Techniques

This project uses knitting as the primary construction method. The design employs fundamental knitting techniques suitable for beginners, including basic increases and decreases to shape the three-dimensional form of the puppy. The pattern uses strategic shaping through increase rows (inc1) and decrease rows (k2tog and p2tog) to create the body, head, and limbs of the toy.
