Peaks Boot Socks

This is a top down, DK weight sock with a garter-edge traditional heel flap. It is worked using magic loop; needle 1 will be front of foot/instep and leg, and needle 2 will be back of the foot, leg and heel.

I wanted a thick and warm boot sock to wear over leggings with my boots, so I set to work. I took my Peaks colorwork pattern (from Peaks Mittens) and flipped it on its side. I wanted the leg of these socks to be extra warm, and the stranded colorwork does just that.
