Clarifying yardage here for people:

If you are not doubling the yarn you will need 850 (1450) yards in fingering or heavy lace.

If you double a laceweight (as is shown in the crescent version) you will need 1700 (2900) yards.

Full circle shawl shown in handspun, two 114 gm braids of Fiber Optic Yarns Gradient Dyed 80/20 Merino/Silk Tops, in color Bitter Lime - Rose, spun and plied In a gradient fingering weight.

The gradient half-circle version uses 2 strands of a thin lace-weight yarn held together that achieve the same gauge as 1 strand of a fingering-weight yarn. The colors of the yarns are swapped in and out to give the color gradation.  Shown doubled using 1700 yds lace weight, in Zitron Filisilk Lace de Luxe in “Modern Denim” 3020, “Evergreen” 3012, and “Forest” 3011

The shawl is worked from the mid center out. The lace pattern is chart only.
