What Is Being Made

The finished project is an embroidered camomile floral motif, designed to be applied to a fabric of your choice. The design features the classic daisy-like appearance of camomile flowers, with petals, centres, and stems rendered in a combination of hand embroidery stitches. Because the pattern is transferable to virtually any fabric, it offers tremendous creative flexibility — making it ideal for embellishing linen, cotton, denim, or any other base material you wish to customise.

Embroidery Stitches Used

This pattern introduces and combines four distinct embroidery stitches, making it an excellent project for stitchers who are building their technical repertoire beyond the basics:

• Satin Stitch (Passé plat): A classic filling stitch worked in smooth, parallel threads laid closely together to create a solid, polished surface. Used here with 2 strands of thread, satin stitch gives areas of the design a neat, lustrous finish.
• Whipped Running Stitch (Point avant surjeté): A decorative variation of the basic running stitch, where a second thread is woven or whipped through the initial row of stitches without piercing the fabric. Materials and Tools Required
