If you have a stash of coloured yarn to utilise, you will love making these brightly coloured drawstring bags. They are fun to design and quick to knit. Ideal for hanging on the Christmas tree, gifts at children’s parties and very popular at craft fairs and bazaars. Santa, the snowman, robin and teddy bear are all knitted separately and stitched to a bag of your choice. There are 3 sizes of bag for you to knit.
NEEDLES: All knitting is done on straight needles 4mm and 2.75mm (US size 6 and size 2).
YARN: DK (double knitting) yarn. (USA - light-worsted/Australia - 8 ply).

Another project of joy for my grandkids next Christmas, I have had something similar which I have decorated my tree with for nearly 40 years, 2 generations of children have loved the tiny games inside the sacks, so when I saw these updated patterns I just have to make them for the next generation. (My mother knitted mine so many years ago.)
