Neon /80’s glow party Hawaiian lei necklace
I learnt this technique while on a Hawaiian cruise making the Christmas wreath decorations with verbal pattern instructions where you do the eyelash yarn first around a long ribbon along the whole things and then use a 2mm satin rattail cord (in this case neon multicolour ombre) and make crochet popcorns in the gaps between the eyelash stitches. I didn’t have any kukui nuts with being in the U.K. so I did a vinegar and oven bake treatment of some conkers then painted and drilled them to use instead

It looks stunning. What a lovely thing to do on a cruise.
