My Fingers Fly

I have been a crafter as long as I can remember, beginning with my mother teaching me to sew my own clothes. I continued the tradition and made most of my children’s clothing. My daughters used to tell their friends they had their own personal designer. I still sew, quilt, knit and needlepoint, but my true passion is crochet. Once I learned to read a pattern about 30 years ago, there was no stopping me. My children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews have provided constant inspiration for my designs. I decided to write down those patterns so that I could share them with others. My favorite designs are children and baby clothing. I love working in polyester yarns (worsted and baby) because they wash so easily, but there is such a variety of yarns out there, it’s hard not to buy something that catches my eye!
