Thank you Maria. 😊 No you just leave the stitches in the needles. Hold both needles the left hand. (With right sides of knitting facing together). Then knit first stitch from fount and back needle together (one stitch now right hand needle. Knit second stitch from both needles same way. Two stitches on right hand needle , pass first stitch over to cast off as usual. Just continue until all stitches cast off. Casts off and does seam at same time. 😂 xx

Thank you Cheryl 😊 Yes the garter stitch works really well. A comfortable stitch for baby clothes. I usually hate having to sew anything up, but I’ve actually mastered the mattress stitch on garter stitch and don’t actually mind it now. 😂x
