Superwash means that the yarn is filament treated, which means that the wool fibers are given a thin coating that protects them from, among other things, friction and hot water, which means that the wool yarn can withstand machine washing at 40 degrees without losing shape and form. The result is a soft and durable yarn that is excellent for many types of garments.
