Grasshopper poncho for kids and adults

US terminology; measurements are given in both inches and cm.

The process is as follows: 1) you work two identical rectangular panels flat in rows and sew them together to assemble the poncho body (make sure you do both seams at the same side: RS or WS); 2) you pick up new stitches along the edge of the V-shaped neck opening and work the ribbed turtleneck collar in rounds from the bottom up; 3) you pick up new stitches along each side of the bottom edge of the poncho body and work the ribbed border in rows from the top down.
