You can even use 2 strands of lace yarn together and in this case, you can do something that looks amazing, m! Use lace yarn Color 1, double held together. After some rows, change one of the 2 strands with another color, having in your hands one strand of Color 1 and one of Color 2. After some rows, knit with 2 strands of Color 2 and keep on this way… You can even use your fingering yarn and in some parts 2 strands of lace weight yarn together! Just take your yarn skeins, all these beautiful yarn and all the left-overs and put them one next to each other to match them and start knitting!
