Cathedral Cable Hat

I wanted to make a cabled hat and was inspired by the gothic arches of cathedrals. It has an optional folded brim and comes in two sizes Child/Small Adult and Adult Medium/Large.

The brim is knitted in a simple rib pattern and can be made longer in Version 2 for a double thick folded brim which will be snuggly warm. The pattern is very stretchy. It will fit most heads between 16-22 inches for the smaller size and 22-25 inches for the m/l. The main difference between the Adult S and M/L is the depth of the hat and the cast on for the brim. The sizing is achieved by moving up a needle size and for the M/L size I used a 5.5mm/US9 circular needle for the main part of the hat. The hats are unisex and you have the option to add a pompom for a bit of winter fun.
