Flag scarf/Deutschlandschal

Finally I can proudly present the result of my last knitting experiment. For your own flag scarf just change the colors red, yellow and black in the description to match your three colored country flag.

As it was(is) the time of the European soccer championship and many houses in Germany were decorated with German flags the idea haunted me to knit a flag scarf. The difficult part: both sides should be representable. And so I chose double-knitting as technique. I had never done double-knitting with three colors before and this one was definitely a challenge. But it's only the setup of the scarf. The rest is easy and you do not even have to carry the pattern with you as you just knit the stitches as they appear. The setup is a little demanding but if you know how to double knit and how to do the two-color cast on, it won't be a big problem. Only the knitting with three colors is a bit tricky at the beginning. I made a picture tutorial to make the difficult parts more clear.
