Bought the wool, then looked for a project to use it. As a beginner to crochet (only 4 months), needed something easy. Loved the idea of making a hug as I feel quite hug depleted at the moment. I have now made 4 in total. My family received them as Christmas gifts. Using 2 strands of complementary shades works well. Didn’t want definite bands of colour, and as it’s worked with 2 strands, tried to change colours and different times, and therefore carrying one colour through two blocks, and tried to work 8 rows per block The yarn pack comes with 5 X 100g balls, so added grey and then white for last section- I should have made the first section larger in hindsight. As I knew I didn’t have enough wool, I dropped down to a 6mm hook instead of the 7mm, and it’s only 38 rows instead of the recommended 40. Don’t think it ‘drapes’ as well as it maybe should. 2nd shawl currently on the hook!
