Summer by the Pond

Summer by the Pond - a variation of my Summer in the Forest pattern (fingering weight) designed for thicker yarns (sport). It is also a parent mitten to the Summer by the Pond (Kids) pattern. The design features frogs and snails enjoying the warm summer by the pond.

The mittens are 56-stitches wide and 80-rows long (without ribbing). Made in fingering weight yarn and US 0 (2mm) or US 1 (2.25mm) needles the mittens should fit an average teen. To make adult size mittens use thicker yarns (sport/DK) and US 2-4 (2.75 - 3.5 mm) needles.
