Slopes Scarf

Slopes is a sophisticated twist for any self-striping yarn that is tres chic. Slopes can be knit as a scarf, a wrap or a blanket. Its width is determined in the first sequence. Directions are written to accommodate any width. Yardage specifics are given for varying widths in worsted weight yarn; however, any yarn weight can be used.

Finished size: 10” x 74” (as shown)

Materials Any yarn weight can be used, adjusting needle size accordingly.

Yardage Requirements: Worsted weight, 585 yards for 10” scarf (model), 293 yards for 5” scarf, 439 yards for 7.5” scarf, 1170 yards for a 20” wrap, 2340 yards for a 50”. blanket.

Model Yarn: Cascade Eco Duo worsted weight, alpaca, merino wool; 197 yards or 180 meters; color Zebra (1701), 3 hanks

Needle size: US. #8 (5.0 mm) Row Counter (optional, but highly recommended)

Gauge 4.5 sts = 1 inch on U.S. #8 in stockinette pattern.
