Skill level: advanced beginner to intermediate; need to know Judy's Magic Cast On, magic loop, wrapping stitches, knitting wrapped stitches.

This shortie socks would be good practice for diving into colorwork. The colorwork goes on the foot only hugging it neatly with no colorwork to tighten over the leg of the sock. If you wish to lengthen the ribbing to fold it over keep in mind that you would need more yarn.
