Old Timey "Happy Holidays" Banner

This banner is the perfect size for a table runner, wall hanging, or as a top panel to a block afghan using some of my other squares!

This PDF includes a fully marked chart and row-by-row written instructions using US crochet terms.

Any yarn or hook will work, depending on the desired size of the finished square. I used yarn weight of 4 with a 5.5 hook, which creates a rectangle of 33.5” wide x 13” tall. (image shows optional border, increasing the dimensions by 2 inches in both directions.)

To do the sample image, you will need 2 colors of yarn, all in the same yarn weight. The B rows (background) take approximately 3-4 oz total (200 yards), and the A rows (border, scrolls & letters) take slightly less than that amount.
