Exceptional service and excellent quality.
A little different to how I usually knit. Not too sure about using 5needles rather than 4 but am enjoying the experience.
Pattern is given in English and German, there are two files for download, one in English and one in German - the file name shows the language of the pattern.
The sock is knitted toe up with afterthought heel.
Most of the sock is in the stranded technique. You should be able to weave in strands in this technique.
There is no explanation for this technique included in the pattern! Please buy only if you are used to stranded two colour knitting!
You also should be used to knitting using charts, knitting in the round, k2tog and increases.
The pattern needs 2 colours of fingering weight sock yarn, 50 g each. For sizes bigger than 7 you will need a second ball of each colour. Don't use sock yarn which includes bamboo, linen or other plant fibers. They don't have enough elasticity. Use yarn which is made out of pure wool or a wool/polyamid (nylon) blend with at least 75% wool.

The Lizard Socks are a knitted sock design created by independent designer Beate Zaech. This downloadable PDF pattern allows crafters to create a complete pair of socks featuring a lizard motif or design element. The socks are available in multiple sizes to accommodate different foot dimensions, making them a versatile project for various wearers.
The pattern includes three size options to ensure a proper fit:
The Lizard Socks are created using knitting techniques. This is an intermediate-level project, indicating that knitters should have foundational skills in basic knitting before beginning. The pattern requires understanding of sock construction methods, which typically involve working in the round on double-pointed needles or circular needles to create a seamless garment from cuff to toe.
The pattern specifies 4-ply yarn weight, also known as fingering weight yarn, which is the standard choice for sock knitting. The designer recommends Schachenmayr Regia as the primary yarn choice, though knitters are encouraged to substitute with their favorite fingering weight sock yarn of comparable weight and yardage. Fingering weight yarn is ideal for socks as it creates a durable, fitted fabric with excellent stitch definition that showcases stitch patterns and motifs.
This is a downloadable PDF pattern, allowing crafters to print the instructions at home for personal use. The pattern is designed for individual knitters creating socks for personal wear or as gifts.
