Heirship Cowl

This timeless chevron pattern has been around forever and can’t possibly be improved. It has a surprisingly versatile character: different color combinations make it either classic, elegant or daring. A quick knit in a bulky yarn creates a soft and cosy piece with a sturdy look, that can be worn by men and women alike.

The stranded colorwork cowl is knitted in the round. The attached i-cord bind-off on both edges provides an eye-catching finish.

Gauge: 11 ¾ sts and 15 ¼ rows = 4" [10 cm] in stockinette stitch 13 sts and 14 rounds = 4" [10 cm] in pattern.

Yarn: 2 skeins of Malabrigo Chunky (100% merino) – 104 yd [95 m] per 3.53 oz [100g], 1 in Buscando Azul and 1 in Polar Morn. Substitute with 2 x 104 yd [95 m] of any bulky weight yarn [CYCA#5].
