Product Description
HALLANVAARA - WHEN FROST FALLS
This triangular shawlette is worked from one tip to another. Its width is increased with shaping towards the centre, after which it is gradually decreased to form the second point. The size of the shawlette is easy to adjust: if you have more yarn, you can repeat the pattern repeat in the centre of the shawl (Chart 3) if you wish. If you have less yarn, you can skip this section entirely and proceed straight to the decreases. This allows you to adjust the size of the shawl halfway through, tailoring it to the amount of yarn you have available.
The textured pattern is formed by two alternating cable motifs that flow across the fabric, creating a lively yet serene surface that invites both the eye and the touch. Fingering-weight wool held together with a strand of fine mohair creates a fabric that is light, airy and soft, while allowing the cables to stand out beautifully. You'll need 437-445 yds / 400-425 m both yarns.
