6 essential Easter patterns

With Easter fast approaching and spring already arrived, we’re all looking for the perfect pattern to make the day extra special. We chose 6 fun and fabulous patterns guaranteed to put a smile on your face, straight from the LoveCrafts Independent Designers.

Bunnykins Egg Cozy

These adorable egg snugs are a must-have for any Easter brunch. The bunnies are knit flat in three pieces, including the body and two ears. They are then seamed together and given faces with simple embroidery. This pattern uses small amounts of DK yarn – we recommend Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK, a washable, 100% cotton yarn which comes in a variety of cheerful springy shades.

Roseanna's Rabbit Hat

Another fantastic choice for knitters of any skill level, this pattern includes instructions for hats sized newborn to adult, so you can make matching hats for the whole family! Knitted flat or in the round, these simple hats are sure to impress and amaze all rabbit enthusiasts. We recommend Debbie Bliss Rialto DK weight yarn, which is a deliciously soft 100% merino wool yarn that’s gentle enough for even the most sensitive of skin. Any of the 35 shades in this range would look divine made into one of these rabbit hats.

Free easter Bunny

We love this life-like knitted bunny from Dot Pebbles. This intermediate level pattern is knitted in a DK weight yarn alongside Debbie Bliss Angel Mohair yarn to create a real look and feel bunny fur effect!

Felted Easter Eggs

We are totally blown away by these felted Easter eggs – they are so unique and would be at home in any decor. You can embellish them in whatever way you see fit, which makes us love their individuality even more. These eggs are available in a 3 inch and 4 inch size, and feature Cascade 220, aran weight yarn, which is available in an impressive 169 shades!

Bunny Rabbit Fingerless Mittens

Depending on where you live, the winter chill could still be in the air, which we don't mind as it means these fingerless gloves are a welcome addition to your Easter adventures. You can still celebrate Easter while hiding chocolate eggs inside and out - rain or shine - with these adorable mitts to keep your hands toasty. These are knit in the round with an optional thumb gusset, featuring a simple cable pattern over a garter stitch background. This pattern requires 100 yards of worsted, aran weight yarn – we recommend the gorgeous 100% merino wool MillaMia Naturally Soft Aran for its super soft feel and fun vibrant shades.

Boris the Bunny Rabbit

Boris the bunny is just begging to be made, with those floppy ears and cute pink nose! He is worked up flat and seamed together, and this pattern includes detailed instructions on how to gather a cast on seam. To bring Boris to life, you’ll need 2 balls of the delectable merino wool, Adriafil Regina.
