I have so many small left-over balls of yarn sitting around in boxes and even though these weren’t the perfect gauge for the pattern, I loved the colours and thought they’d make great hats. I used the Lang Merino+ for a plain hat and it came out really nicely. That is one of my favourite yarns as it is so super soft. Then I still had a little of the blue left, so paired it with a remnant of a soft blue-green Valley Yarns Amherst for a fun striped version. That one teams with a jacket I have in the same colourway and I can see I am going to use it a lot. Both hats are worked in Granite Stitch which is a super warm and stretchy stitch pattern from our Reversible Knitting Stitches book.
