My very good neighbour, having seen the little girl's dress I made last year, asked me if I would make these for her great grand-daughters aged 6 and 4yrs. She sourced the pattern and bought the fabric from a quilting show. She actually was the person who inspired me during lockdown to return to sewing and gave me a machine (mine, being the same age as my 'kids' didn't work 😆) She also got me into quilting but by her own admission she has never made garments. So, these took me a number of weeks 😕 but I'm pleased with the results and they were very much appreciated by my neighbour and the girls! 😀

Thank you for your kind words, Maria. Knitting is still my 'main stay' but with a dodgy thumb it's good to have a change! Yes, the girls did love their dresses! You should have a go at sewing :0)

Jane these dresses are beautiful 🤩 your journey returning to dress making is inspiring, it sounds like your enjoying every moment. I dabble a little in sewing and managed to service my machine that wasn’t working properly during lockdown with the idea to try make clothes with grandaughter this is still on back burner 😂 grandaughter has lost interest but I have material. It is good to see what can be achieved. You are a multi crafter and very good at all of them! I bet the little girls look sensational in their lovely designer dresses well done you 😍🥰💕
