Very pleased with this project, I will definitely produce a few more as gifts, no need to measure up for this one. I used King Cole Forest Aran which, despite its name, knits up as a good DK, it’s got a lot of recycled wool in it and produced the tweed effect I wanted without breaking the bank or being very itchy. I did make a big mistake, didn’t read the instructions through properly so ended up with only 2 strips/pattern instead of 3, this threw out the subsequent patterns on the back so they’re not symmetrical but I don’t mind that at all.
