Woodland wreath

Here are 2 knitting patterns for Christmas Wreaths: one with a traditional woodland theme and one with a simple Christmas tree motif.

The pattern includes instructions for leaves, flowers and pine cones.

Knit on 3.25mm straight needles, the wreaths are contoured so no wire or foam form is needed. The decorations can be knit on larger needles (some of the leaves and flowers were knit on 4.5mm and 5mm needles) to give a bit of variation in size. Although the instructions are quite precise, there is no limit to how this can be decorated according to taste. Each wreath uses around 18g of DK yarn for the basic shape. Oddments of DK yarn can be used in any colour for the detailing. I'm next knitting one in bright yellows and greens without the cones for a fresh Spring decoration

Finished size is approximately 16cm diameter but the pattern works for other yarn knit on corresponding needles (I tried one with chunky yarn, knit on 5mm needles and the finished diameter was 25cm).
