Woodland Retreat Socks

An interplay of cables and texture decorates these beautiful socks.

They are worked in fingering weight yarn, cuff-down in the round using the magic-loop method.

The pattern contains fully written as well as charted instructions so you can choose which you prefer to work from.

SIZES:

1 (2, 3) = 17.5 (20, 22.5) cm / 7 (8, 9)“ leg circumference of finished sock, to fit with negative ease.

YARN:

Designed for fingering weight sock yarn.

Yarn used for sample: Schachenmayr Regia Premium Merino Yak 4-ply.

GAUGE:

33 sts x 48 rounds = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4“ in cable-texture pattern,

30 sts x 48 rounds = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4“ in stockinette stitch,

on larger needle size after washing and gentle blocking.

NEEDLES:

2.25 and 2.5 mm / US 1 and 1.5 needles for knitting in the round with magic-loop method (circular needles at least 80 cm / 32“ long), or size to obtain g
