WOMEN’S SOCKS WITH THICKER HEELS, SOLES AND TOES

A unique pattern for confident, intermediate knitters who already understand the basics of sock construction. Instructions are given in one size, for an average woman, but experienced knitters can easily adapt to other sizes.

These socks use a reinforced ‘slip stitch’ for the whole of the sole and toe, not just the heel flap. The instructions will show you how to do this while avoiding wrinkly ankles and banana shaped feet! A pretty, simple eyelet pattern for the leg, is included but you can adapt to use your own favourite. The Wee Duchess has helpfully written out the instructions for the heel and gusset in full.
