Winter Light

When your feet are cold or tired, nothing beats pulling on cozy, warm socks. The Winter Light socks are worked holding sport weight yarn double, so they are really thick and comforting. The ribbed cuff can be worn long for knee-length socks, or folded down for some extra warmth around the ankles. The socks are very simple – just stockinette, garter and ribbing – so the knitting itself is very comforting, too!

You'll need approx. 512 m / 560 yds of sport weight yarn (the yarn is held double). The sample was knit using 2 skeins of Vuorelma Veto. An alternative yarn is suggested below.
