I am a little obsessed with these crochet diamonds and this shawl is a celebration of them. It uses a full 100g skein (400m) of luxury fingering/4 ply yarn and has a simple edging which I think sets the diamonds off very well. This pattern starts at the point and works upwards and you finish when there is sufficient yarn remaining to complete the border. It was quite breezy on the day I took the photos – in fact rather wild, hence the name! The shawl is 145 cm (57 in) wide by 68 cm (27 in) long when blocked. It is written in English and US terms, and is charted. It is also included in my ebook - Crochet Diamonds are Forever.....
