Vintage Santa

Nothing better than a vintage stocking brought into the new generation. I had a 95 year old friend who had knit the old original version for 27 grand and great grandkids. She asked me to knit the last grandbaby one for her because her eyes were bad. She was still knitting baby blankets- a pattern she had memorized, but the colorwork of a stocking was not easy at her age. The original has the design laying on the crease so I updated it and charted it to match my other original designs.

Knit this adorable Santa. Sure to be a keepsake for any recipient. Pattern includes: Written stocking instructions, alphabet chart, hints and a color chart of the design.

Beginning intermediate knitting. No gauge required finished size approximately 7” x 23” Knitted Flat and sewn up back seam

You may use any acrylic or wool. I prefer acrylic because of the stiffness and way it hangs. Any worsted weight yarn will work.
