Looking for a festive knit that feels Christmassy, but not so Christmassy that you’ll avoid wearing it for the rest of the year? Then look no further. The lace panel on the Viken socks is designed to resemble the branches on a traditional Christmas tree. But it’s subtle enough that, for the rest of the year, it just looks like a beautiful, delicate lace pattern. Of course, if subtle isn’t your thing, you could always ramp up the festive levels by using a sparkly yarn with some stellina content and make it look like your “trees” have got their very own twinkly fairy lights!

These socks are worked toe up. Instructions for the lace pattern are provided both written and charted. You’ll also find full detailed instructions on how to work a German short row heel, but this can easily be substituted for any alternative heel of your choice.
