What Is Being Made

The vest features a simple construction with a round neckline and armholes, offering a classic, versatile layering piece. Available in six sizes ranging from Small (34.5" bust) to XXXL (54.5" bust), with corresponding length options from 22.5" to 26.4".

Construction Technique

The vest is worked using a seamless, bottom-up construction method. The body begins knitted in the round from the cast-on edge, creating a continuous tube without side seams. At the underarm, the work is separated and the fronts and back are completed knitting flat. This hybrid approach combines the speed and ease of circular knitting for the body with the simplicity of flat knitting for the shoulder and neckline shaping.

Stitches and Stitch Patterns

The primary stitch used throughout is stockinette stitch, worked in the round for the body section. The pattern employs basic knitting abbreviations including K (knit) and P (purl). Edge stitches are cast off at the underarm to create armholes, with the pattern instructing to cast off 2 stitches at the beginning of rows during this transition phase.
