Unicornucopia

These socks were created to celebrate both my love of mythical creatures, but also the Zombie Knitpocalypse Retreat of 2020. Each year the Stockinette Zombies (Megan Williams and Amy Spinler) throw an amazing party that had to be moved to a virtual platform due to COVID-19. This years’ mascots are a dragon and a unicorn.

I chose the name Unicornucopia for the multitude of colors in the yarn, but also for the multitude of personalities and wonderful people who attend ZK each year. They are the best part of the retreat. The attitude is that nobody eats alone or sits alone (unless they want to) and strangers are friends y9ou haven't met yet. Like the magical unicorn, the ZK attendees are a force for good, inclusion and diversity.
