These socks are a quick knit. Like, really, really fast. You can make a pair during a few episodes of your favorite TV show, and then have them to wear for your NEXT binge-tv-watching night. Or, of course, they make a fast gift for a friend or loved one.
I've recently (March 2015) updated this pattern to now employ German Short Rows, which are both easy AND fantastic! I was never super duper happy with the heel treatment on this one, as the double short rows made for bulky bulky heels on an already bulky sock. These heels are smoother, and there's none of that dreaded heel-hole. I've also updated the pattern language a bit, and the layout.
Skill level Advanced beginner (knitting in the round, short rows).
Size/Finished measurements Sizes: Women’s Small [Women’s Large/Men’s]. To fit: Women’s shoe sizes 5-8 [Women’s shoe sizes 8-11/Men’s 7-10]. Circumference at both foot and leg: 7" [9"]. Measured after blocking.
