Tropical Bird

Birds come in all shapes and colors, so why not build yourself a rainbow of tropical birds?! In this pattern you'll find instructions to make your own Tropical Bird and different options for customizing to make it your own. See actual birds for color references, like the Scarlet Macaw or Yellow-crested Cockatoo, or create your own tropical bird.

The main part of this project is worked in rounds so you might want to use a stitch marker to mark the end of each round. There is no specific gauge for this project, just try to keep it tight and even throughout each piece. Tropical Bird is worked with the “x” single crochet technique (yarn under, yarn over), with yarn Rosários 4 For Nature, but any similar DK cotton yarn will work.
