This simple but effective stitch pattern will add spots of color from the row below into the middle of a long stretch of a single colour, tricking the eye into seeing a fancy stitch pattern instead of clumps of color. This sock is worked from the cuff down, with a flap and gusset heel. The optional split toe will add interest for an experienced knitter, while a beginner can chose the simpler traditional toe. This pattern was written to coordinate with the Chicanery Mitts by Angela Myers.
Directions are given for either fingering or sport weight yarn.
