As I'm surrounded by so many pregnant women at the moment and I have to make some cute baby gifts for them anyway, this pattern idea hit me.
Just cute, plain and simple and easy and quick to knit baby socks.
Either big stripes or small stripes - whatever you prefer.
You can use 4-ply sock yarn leftovers (about 15 g of each color will be enough). The socks then can be used as baby's first "shoes" and keep the tiny feet safe and warm :)
It has a short-row heel, which is described in detail. I prefer to knit them toe-up. This is included in detail. But notes on knitting it top-down are also included.
