What is Being Made

The TiNy Pullover is a top-down knitted sweater designed for infants and young children, available in nine sizes ranging from 6/9 months through 8 years old. This pullover features a classic construction method where the garment is worked from the neckline downward, with the piece divided into body and sleeves after the initial yoke shaping. The finished sweater offers hip circumferences from 48cm to 79cm and back lengths ranging from approximately 38cm to 58cm, making it suitable for growing children across multiple years.

Construction Technique

The TiNy Pullover employs a top-down construction method, a popular technique in modern knitting that allows for easy fitting adjustments and the ability to try on the garment as you work. After establishing the initial yoke, the pattern divides the stitches to create separate sections for the body and sleeves. Both the body and sleeves are then worked in the round, which creates seamless fabric and eliminates the need for seaming.
