The Carington Vest

This vest is written in a wide range of sizes. The pattern includes extra fitting information for fuller figures. It has a forgiving fit and will flatter many body shapes. The classic vest back gives the garment structure, while the front is constructed as a simple straight piece of knitting with angled edges creating points at the front. The front shape creates a strong, slimming vertical line on the body. The edges fold back into a shawl collar exposing a nubby fabric. The stitch pattern lays flat and creates a gentle transition at each colour change, subtly blending the shades. The two row stitch pattern has been written in an eight row format for the front. This is to aid the knitter in aligning the stitch pattern while working the increases.
