Teal dreams

Teal dreams is a blanket in my favourite colours this season - teal, blue and brown. It is a variation on the traditional granny square, using ‘diamonds’ in the centre rather than standard granny stitches. Using this method the squares can be made any rectangular shape. I mixed the squares with rectangles of double width, but you could try any combination to make a unique blanket design. I used 5 colours of yarn, in blues and teals with a dark brown joining colour and I have written the pattern for the colours so you can see how I constructed it. You do not have to follow the colour scheme or work to the size I did. However, if you wish to adapt you will need to adjust your yarn quantities. As made pattern uses 3 balls of A, 4 of B, 5 of C, 7 of D and 7 of E to make a blanket approx 1.5m/5' square Written in English and US terms, and charted, with some photo tutorials.
