Sweet sparrow cardigan

Sweet sparrow cardigan is a wrapped over lace stitch pattern cardigan with 3/4 length sleeves with wide decorative collar band. It is worked bottom to top. Wide cardigan edge band is worked separately from cardigan: it means that cardigan is knitted first and later neck band which is sewed to cardigan with a tapestry needle. Because this cardigan is wrapped it fits well for summer cool days together with dress or jeans.

**Yarn (both held together):**1. Sweet sparrow yarns, Sandpiper (100% superwash merino; 100g/3.5oz = 366m/400yds). Colour: Roasted chestnuts. 2. Sweet sparrow yarns, Feather (72% mohair, 28% silk; 50g/1.8oz = 420m/459yds). Colour: Rose caramel.

Needles: 4mm (US6, UK8), 40cm (16in) (for sleeves) and 80-100cm (32-40in) circular needles.

Gauge: 10cm x 10cm (4’’ x 4’’) = 17 stitches x 25 rows in Stockinette stitch pattern.

Notions: 6 closed stitch markers, 2 scrap yarns, tapestry needle.
