Star-edged Cotton Hand Towel

This cotton hand towel is casual but elegant, made with the low-sheen and absorbant Cotton DK by Paintbox Yarns, available in a rainbow of beautiful colours. The towel is lined with a unique star stitch border on both ends, and the body is made with the Tunisian honeycomb stitch, a simple textured Tunisian crochet stitch. It is easy to switch back and forth between the regular crochet border and the Tunisian crochet body, but you will need a 4.5mm Tunisian crochet hook as well as a 3.75 to 4mm regular hook. Even if you are not familiar with Tunisian crochet, you should have success with this pattern - there are photos and links to instructional videos intended for beginners to both stitch types.
