This patchwork effect blanket is just a perfect gift for a new baby. You can make it any colour of course, this one was duck egg as I didn't know whether the expected baby was a boy or a girl! It can, of course, be knit in any yarn and any size, you can increase the width of the border, or add a full additional set of "patches".... It knits up beautifully quickly, and is a very simple pattern using just knit and purl stitches that even beginners can manage.

Only came back to knitting after 40 years.Helped enormously during lockdown
Found my own way of following this pattern as the worksheet script was too small for me to read even though I wear glasses.
It has easy to follow directions and the pattern is as adorable as the picture on the pattern.
Easy to follow pattern - started the project yesterday.

The wool was very easy to knit up with instructions easy to read.
Pattern riddled with errors
Very disappointed at how many errors this pattern contained. To begin with the pattern omits to tell you what size needles to use, the border stitches in one section are repeated at the beginning of the row and omitted at the end. Other sections instructed you to knit the wrong number of stitches. As for the heart square pattern where do I begin? In the written instructions rows are repeated and/or incorrect and the whole pattern is different to the charted version. The inclusion of so many...
