Snowflake Santa hat / Snefnug Nissehue

In Denmark, the santy hat is called a nissehue. It is worn by the tiny nisser - not quite Santa’s little helpers but more like little mischievous elfs that tease humans at Christmas unless they are fed traditional Christmas rice porridge and milk.

This is a quick and easy pattern to knit such a hat for your favourite little mischievous one and really get into the Christmas spirit. The pattern features a thick luxurious brim with a seasonal frosty snowflake pattern and a short pointed crown so that the hat does not get in the way during playtime.
