Smocked blanket

Knit using aran /#4/ worsted yarn, this pattern creates a beautiful, textured blanket with the effect of smocking on one side and pleasing reverse side too.

Requiring a cable needle, the stitch pattern is quick to master but there is a lot of work involved in making this blanket - I think the finished blanket is definitely worth the effort!

The pattern is written for three sizes of blanket in a line by line format. Baby blanket for stroller or pram - 32"x36"/80x90cm Lapghan - 36"x48"/90 x 120cm Throw blanket - 50”x60”/125x150cm

The blanket is knit in one piece, back and forth on a circular needle to accommodate the number of stitches.
