Shelter poncho

SHELTER is one multifunctional, textured, warm, fringed poncho/wrap/cowl, with battoning. Simply adding the main motives achieves required size (circumference). My inspiration for this design is “Architecture without architects” – shelters and buildings of natural materials (mud, wood, wicker, bamboo…). Totaly nomadic / boho style.

Dimensions of sample from photos: * length (unstretched, lying flat) – 86cm/34” for circumference of shoulders over the chest up 111cm/~43”; * width (height) - 40cm/16” (textured pattern) + 7cm/2.8” (loops) = 47cm/18,8”; * fringes – 35cm/14”;

Poncho can be done in specified sizes, according to the circumference of the shoulders across the chest (in pattern). Shown sample (XS) is made with (all) 3 balls Alize Lanagold Classic yarn, 100gr/240m, 262yds per skein. For bigger poncho (S, M, L), you need minimum 4 balls (400gr) of the similar yarn. For sizes X, XXL and XXXL, you need 5 balls of yarn (500gr). Gauge: 18 sts and 22 rows = 4”x4” on US8 [5mm] needle
